J.J. White, Inc is a Fourth-Generation family-owned Union Construction Company established in 1920 and has been serving the Energy, Utilities, Refinery, Solar and Industrial to name a few sectors in the Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and New England Regions of the USA for over 100 years.  We were originally founded as a Mechanical Contractor, however, in 1960 our services expanded to include Construction Management, General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction and HVAC Services and Maintenance. Our services also include a Tank Group specializing in API 650 and 653 Repairs and Construction, as well as a full-service Exchanger-High-Pressure Water Group providing push and pull and water cut steel up to 2 inches thick.

Our Corporate Footprint spans over 22-states through 7- Regional Offices in the New England, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West Region. Our seven offices are located in Philadelphia, PA (our HQ), Boston, MA, New Castle, DE, Whiting, IN, St. Paul, MN, Toledo, OH and Roxana, IL. We employee 2,500 employees most of which are Craft Personnel.

We are a single-source, multi-trade turnkey Contractor capable of functioning in any of the aforementioned capacities — planning, managing, building, renovating, and maintaining facilities from foundations through complete structures, sitework through to landscaping, including electrical, mechanical, and piping work, and finishes. We perform our own concrete, carpentry, acoustical ceiling, drywall, electrical, and mechanical work every day and, when performing in a CM capacity, readily apply that hands-on knowledge to our relationships with our subcontractor partners – all of whom are vetted and pre-qualified, as well as our local/national/or international vendor affiliations.

J.J. White is a Super-Regional Contractor that specializes in having National-Like Resources and Trustworthy Personalized Services. We work approximately 2 Million Workhours and to our credit were the first and only OSHA VPP Mobile Workforce Contractor ever certified in Region-3. Some of our other company accolades include, AFPM Site Safety Award, TAUC Thomas J. Reynolds Award for Excellence in Construction Safety and Health and we are active Members of the US Green Building Council.
