Three examples of communities partnering with FuelCell Energy:

Biofuel power: San Bernardino, CA

Several communities in California are using FuelCell Energy platforms, powered by biogas, to generate power. The biogas from the wastewater treatment plants powers the fuel cells, which produce clean, carbon neutral power and heat.

Community microgrid: Woodbridge CT

A 2.2 MW fuel cell contributes to the local grid and also operates as microgrid in the event of a grid disturbance, serving 7 critical town facilities: the school, town hall, library, senior center, police headquarters, fire department and public works department.

Hydrogen, power and water production: Port of Long Beach, CA and Toyota

At Toyota’s Port of Long Beach operation, FuelCell Energy’s platform, which runs on biogas, will create 3 value streams:

• Hydrogen to power 2500 hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles a year
• Power to run Toyota’s port operations
• Enough water to wash 42,000 cars a year
