Rebecca’s practice is at the intersection of law, government, and business; she focuses on helping companies successfully navigate through a myriad of complex regulatory frameworks pertaining to political contributions, pay-to-play rules, government contracting, ethic rules, lobbying requirements, energy and utility matters, the insurance industry and data security practices.

Additionally, Ken Sheehan has recently returned to Genova Burns as Counsel in the Firm’s Newark Office, bringing significant experience in both the public and private sectors, with a broad and deep knowledge of the legal and policy foundations of both the regulated utility industry as well as the new Green Energy economy. Having served in significant roles at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, as well as with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General and the New York Department of Public Service, Ken’s experience covers the legislative, regulatory, and litigation elements of energy, water, telecommunications, clean energy, and solid waste

Both Ken and Rebecca participated in a Thought Leadership event through ROI NJ on July 21st, where they discussed Energy: Infrastructure and Sustainability.

Ken will also be moderating a panel for Alliance for Action on Thursday, August 4th on Harnessing Ocean Wind: Bringing Power on Shore and into the Grid.
