MILLVILLE, NEW JERSEY – Richard Jackson, a long-time energy professional, has been named as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Energy Coalition. With over 25 years in the industry, Jackson takes on the new role of promoting clean, reliable, and affordable energy in the state of New Jersey.

Rich was most recently with Jacobs Engineering, located in Philadelphia, acting as their Director of Utility Consulting. With an impressive career already under his belt, Jackson’s resume includes serving as Executive Vice President & COO of South Jersey Gas Company, Executive Director for the New Jersey BPU, as well as Sr. Vice President of Operations for Lousiana Offshore Oil Port.

“Rich brings with him an impressive knowledge of energy delivery and of the energy industry. He will serve as an outstanding addition to the New Jersey Energy Coalition Team,” Dr. Edward H. Salmon, Chairman of NJEC, touted.

“The NJEC is thrilled to have Jackson join on as Executive Director,” Salmon concluded.

The New Jersey Energy Coalition’s membership includes businesses, industry, labor, civic organizations and educational and government groups. Its focus is to provide education and outreach that stresses the need for a broad energy platform in New Jersey.

Jackson is a graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University (B.S., Mechanical Engineering Technology) and Drexel University (MBA). Born and raised in New Jersey, he currently resides in Egg Harbor Township.

The mission of the NJ Energy Coalition is to generate public support for the production of clean, reliable, affordable, American energy to meet New Jersey’s growing energy needs. The Coalition seeks to achieve this goal through increasing the public’s awareness of the need to keep existing clean energy providers operational and to promote and support the development of new affordable clean sources.
