Dr. Edward H. Salmon,
Chairman
Ed Salmon has spent 26 years in government as a mayor, county commissioner, state legislator, President of the New Jersey BPU and member of the governor's cabinet. In addition, for 27 years Dr. Salmon served as an educator and coach in the Millville Public School System.
As a member of NARUC, Ed served two years as Vice President, Chairman of Executive Committee, founder of Washington Action, trustee of National Regulatory Research Institute, and presently is President of NARUC's Commissioners Emeritus. Ed is the founder of Salmon Ventures, a strategic consulting firm based in New Jersey. Before establishing Salmon Ventures, he was President of AUS Consultants and Vice-Chairman of AUS, Inc.
Richard S. Mroz,
Senior Advisor
Rick is a registered lobbyist, consultant, and he maintains a law practice. He has extensive background and experience in government at all four levels – federal, state, county and local. He served as Chief Counsel to Governor Christie Todd-Whitman and was responsible for legislative affairs, negotiating the state budget, and advising the Governor and legal and policy matters. He also served as the Governor's counsel and liaison for the state's largest independent authorities including the Turnpike Authority, Water Supply Authority and New Jersey and the Environmental Infrastructure Trust.
Having served as County Counsel for Camden County and a local zoning board solicitor, Rick is familiar with government at the local and county level. He negotiated agreements for large redevelopment projects and for regional unified solid waste projects. He has been an advisor and commentator on renewable energy projects including wind and solar power for county and local government agencies. Notably, he is a Member of the President's Commission on White House Fellows which interviews and selects individuals to serve the one year fellowship in the White House or directly with cabinet secretaries. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York.
Robert Marshall,
Executive Director
Bob Marshall previously worked at Atlantic City Electric (a subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc.) for over 33-years, most recently as Vice President, Atlantic City Electric Region with responsibility for community and government relations for the Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington service territory portions of Atlantic City Electric.
Bob's background includes management positions in corporate finance, investor relations, external affairs, community relations and state government affairs. Bob also served as chair of the Legislative Committee of the New Jersey Utilities Association. Bob is a graduate of Leadership New Jersey, Class of 2005 and currently chairs its Graduate Organization.
Advisory Board
The Coalition's Advisory Board advises and assists the leadership team on developing programmatic goals that will best fulfill the Coalition's mission of educating the public about the need for energy policies that protect the environment and improve the state's economy. The Advisory Board is comprised of members and Distinguished New Jerseyans, selected for their diverse backgrounds in the many areas that affect the state of New Jersey and its energy needs.
