Electricity Reports
A Polestar report, “Reducing CO2 Emissions in New England: The Imperative of Nuclear Power,” found that New England’s five nuclear reactors must remain operational and that an “unprecedented” expansion of wind-generated electricity is needed to meet the region’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gasses and meeting increasing electricity demands (January 22, 2008)

Cambridge Energy Research Report: Nuclear Power 'Renaissance' Moving Beyond Talk to Real Action (April 2, 2007)
New Jersey is part of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), a pact among Northeastern states to reduce emissions from power plants 10 percent by 2019. RGGI treats nuclear power and renewables equally. RGGI’s carbon dioxide emissions reduction program recognizes nuclear energy as a non-emitting technology. Polestar Applied Technology’s report, The Roles of Nuclear Energy in Reducing CO2 Emissions in the Northeastern United States presents the necessity of nuclear power to achieve clear air goals.
