Salem County Energy Symposium

SALEM, NJ – On June 4, 2010, the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in coordination with the New Jersey Energy Coalition, will host a half-day energy forum at Salem Community College for county residents, the agricultural community, business owners and educational/governmental entities.

The Salem County Energy Symposium will feature numerous updates on New Jersey’s Clean Energy Programs, along with panel discussions on financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, economic development opportunities, and job training in the energy sector.

“We look forward to the open dialogue and wealth of information that this Energy Symposium will provide for the people who live, work and make their living in Salem County,” said Deputy Director David T. Lindenmuth, Chairman of the County's Energy Committee.

The Energy Symposium will also include informative, educational breakout sessions where attendees can ask questions and receive valuable information on today’s energy issues with government officials from state and federal renewable energy programs. Renewable energy and energy efficiency contractors and vendors will also be on hand to provide advice on projects and answer questions

The overall goal of the Energy Symposium is provide homeowners, business owners, educators, local government and members of the agricultural community with practical information and contacts to help them take advantage of energy-savings opportunities

The Symposium is being held at Salem Community College, Davidow Hall and runs from 8:00am till 2:00pm. Sponsorships are available for the event and can be obtained by contacting Bob Marshall at 609-226-9202 or bmarshall@njenergycoalition.org.

The event is free of charge but advance online registration is required.
